CVS Window Graphics Re-Imaging Requires Store Profiling

CVS recently rebranded themselves as CVS Pharmacy. The retailer needed to update the window graphics in multiple locations with the new brand logo as well as make sure that all graphics were covering up some potential eyesores and/or security considerations inside of the stores. However, a one-size graphics solution does not fit all. As with many multi-site retail chains, each store format wasn’t the same. Project CSI was hired via a 3rd party graphics provider to conduct a customized survey to capture the unique store profile of each location being re-imaged.

SCOPE OF PROJECT:

Develop and conduct a custom store profile survey that captures a variety of the re-imaging considerations at the store level via photos and measurements to include:

  • Number and dimensions of all the exterior store windows
  • Photos of the windows to determine the height of graphics needed to conceal any in-store fixtures or security considerations such as cash registers or safes
  • Interior photos to determine if any obstructions will inhibit graphic installation
  • Capture other miscellaneous information unique to the store signage:  store hours, existing wayfinding signage, departments, number of cash registers and more

OUR SOLUTION:

Our Project CSI Survey Application developers created a Store Profile survey to precisely capture every aspect of each store that needed consideration in order for the graphics company to execute in the least amount of time with the least amount of waste. Our Survey Coordinators then tapped into our vast network of over 2,013 Field Agents in all 50 states to conduct the survey via our app. Once the survey was complete it was reviewed by our team to confirm completeness and accuracy.

Bridget Black, our Survey Coordinator on the project, went the extra mile for our customer on this store profiling program. “I extracted the most important information from our survey, focusing on the factors that could affect the new signage installation, and created a Survey Book for each location in a pdf format.” Lastly, the high resolution photos, measurements and all other information from the store profile survey is shared via the cloud with our customer for them to download. Our Surveyors captured an average of 60 photos per site.

Project CSI’s proprietary surveying technology eliminates the use of outdated and convoluted paper surveys. Additionally, each store profile can be used for any future queries about each of these sites within the the CVS portfolio.
